    A Day in the Life of a Programmer Analyst:


    The Programmer Analyst is responsible for gathering specifications, analyzing, and modifying programming systems and components, which includes the coding, testing, debugging and installation of code to support the organization's various software applications.


    • Analyze requirements, procedures, and problems to either automate processing or modify existing computer systems
    • Document all aspects of system design, develop, and test new and modified computer programs by applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose program and system problems
    • Study existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develop new systems to improve production/workflow
    • Ensure data security and integrity and troubleshoot production system issues relating to database
    • Develops, modifies, and maintains assigned programs
    • Unit tests the operation of developed programs and documents results
    • Reviews user requirements and performs analysis, design, implementation and installation related to new software developed and/or acquired
    • Performs simultaneous activities in support of Information Technologies software programming projects
    • Collaborates with QA teams in the execution of QA Testing
    • Collaborates with QA teams in the execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
    • Ensures that deliverables meet or exceed functional, technical, and performance requirements
    • Submits for code review and approval all software modifications
    • Takes ownership of the projects and tasks assigned
    • Provides post implementation production support including problem triage, analysis, and resolution
    • Assists Delivery Lead in the creation and maintenance of project plans and project status reports
    • Provides on-call support as assigned
    • Consistently meets task deadlines while maintaining high quality standards
    • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job


    What you can bring to Meridian:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related area is required
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area is required
    • Health Insurance - Medicare, Medicaid a plus
    • Healthcare – Provider, laboratory, clinical research, pharmaceutical
    • Practical experience in application development
    • Working knowledge of web services technology a plus
