    A Day in the Life of a University Recruitment Specialist:

     

    Perform targeted recruitment activities designed to build strong and lasting relationship with universities and colleges across the country.  This role supports developmental programs including internship, externship, and entry-level training, by identified high-potential, entry level staff identified through the organization’s collegiate recruitment plan.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate the overall university recruitment for key target schools
    • Carry out campus recruiting to fill entry level staff and intern positions
    • Build strong relationships with educational institutions such that Meridian is an employer of choice on campus and a campus-wide name
    • Work with senior members of the recruiting team, to establish a consistent recruiting approach that matches other top-rated professional service firms
    • Maintain a constant and steady focus on the local market place, and disseminate local market intelligence to key departments
    • Utilize the applicant tracking system to capture all recruiting and hiring activity
    • Coordinate and facilitate all logistics associated with hosting on-campus activities at key schools, including scheduling and conducting interviews, arranging receptions, activities, presentations with key clubs and organizations
    • Coordinate all logistics surrounding the office visit process, including final round interview days, office interviews, open houses, etc.
    • Coordinate sponsorship opportunities with educational institutions and Meridian in partnership with Communications
    • Grow our University Recruitment program by developing metrics and piloting new schools and programs each year, measuring the best investment of time and resources
    • Support Meridian Developmental Programs including the Internship, Externship, Pharmacy Analyst, and Progress Development by understanding staffing needs and executing appropriate plans to meet these commitments

    Qualifications

    What you can bring to Meridian:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Personnel Administration or equivalent is required
    • Skill in interviewing techniques
    • A good knowledge of all clerical and specialized functions in CMC
    • Basic understanding of CMC’s organizational structure as well as an extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices
    • 1-3 years professional recruiting experience
    • 1 year of experience in healthcare recruitment
    • 1 year of university/college recruitment
